Coaches' meetings, staff briefings, player 1:1s — the volume of conversation in a coaching environment is enormous, and almost none of it gets re-listened to. Fireflies records and transcribes them. Claude, connected to Fireflies via MCP, lets you query everything in plain English: 'What did we say about [player] in the last three meetings?' Tier: Claude Pro ($20/mo) + Fireflies Free or Pro.
A memory tool, not a notes tool. The distinction matters.
This upgrades the Memory layer at scale. Individual transcripts are useful but unsearchable in practice — nobody scrolls through 90 minutes of dialogue. The Fireflies MCP connector exposes your meeting library to Claude as a structured, queryable knowledge base.
It removes the 'I know we discussed this somewhere' load. Decisions, action items, tactical themes — all retrievable in seconds instead of being lost to the audio file nobody opens.
Set up the MCP connection once. After that, every meeting Fireflies records is automatically queryable. Use it weekly when prepping for the next coaches' meeting (review last week's actions) and monthly when pattern-spotting (what themes keep coming up?).

InstallIn claude.ai → Settings → Connectors. Search for Fireflies in the directory. Click Connect → OAuth into your Fireflies account. The connection takes 30 seconds. (Note: requires Claude Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise — Free plan can install OAuth connectors but not Fireflies specifically.) - Step 02
Use onceMake sure Fireflies is recording your meetings. Connect Fireflies to your Google Calendar (or Outlook) so it auto-joins Zoom, Meet, and Teams calls. For in-person meetings, use the Fireflies mobile app to record on your phone. Let it run for one week to build a baseline of transcripts. - Step 03
StoreOpen a chat in your Season Project. Ask: 'Using Fireflies, find every mention of [player name] in my meetings over the last 30 days. Summarise what was said about them, whether the tone was positive or concerning, and any action items that came out of those discussions.' Claude pulls directly from Fireflies and answers with citations.
